Want to be a speaker for the next WordCamp Lausanne on Saturday September 29, 2018?
Come share your knowledge for our 1st edition, the 5th WordCamp in Switzerland.
Talk in a WordCamp is a great way to participate to the community. If you have a knowledge that is interesting, do not hesitate to submit your proposal.
What do we want for this WordCamp
A WordCamp is made of presentations about WordPress. But what are we talking about exactly? Here are some topics that could inspire you:
- Technical topics (REST API and other)
- Design (creativity, evolution, go further)
- Usage (Gutenberg, have a blog, have a site)
- Marketing (to sell, to promote oneself, with WP)
- Workflows (creator or developer, editor)
- Etc.
A WordCamp is multidisciplinary. The more the talks are talking about various topics, the greater the chances are to learn something.
What do we expect from you
- To be enthusiastic about your topic and the desire to share;
- A confirmed knowledge on the topic of your talk, which makes you one of the best person to talk about it
- A unique point of view or different from what has already been done
- A passion for WordPress and the desire to give-back to the community and what it gave you all year-long
- The talks with Q&A should not be more than 30 minutes.
Live an intense moment
- Share your expertise with a warm and enthusiatic audience
- Contribute to WordPress and mingle with the community ;
- Compare your points of view and put a light on your way to use WordPress.
Thank you for your talk proposals
Two formats are available : the conference for broad-audience topics or the workshop for a more specific audience. In both cases, a questions & answers session will be possible at the end of your presentation, max 30 minutes. You can send your proposal for a talk in French or English, the language of the submission will be the language of the talk.
The call for speakers ends on June 30, 2018 at midnight. Our team will select the submissions, in order to propose a large a broad program. All those who have made a proposal will be personally notified of the outcome, positive or negative.
Warning if you are chosen as a speaker, please note that WordCamps do not pay the speakers (or organisers or volunteers): your conference at the WordCamp Lausanne is considered a voluntary participation to the WordPress project. If you do not live in the Lausanne area, you must ensure that you can come and stay at your own expenses – or at the expense of your company.
We remind you that you are going to be filmed, and the videos will be available for the worldwide community, for free, on WordPress.tv.
Agreement
