This is a my WordPress story, a story about mental health, pursuing your dreams, building and running an agency and when to follow your heart.

I was one of the co-founders of required.com and since left the team to pursue my dream of building a high-end gardening business under principles of zero kilometer vegetables with a bunch of friends. I’m an active organiser for the WP Zürich meetup and also helped organise the WordCamps in Zürich and probably will do so again next year. I work part time at switchplus.ch as a team lead and system architect for their SME managed WordPress product and I spend as much time as possible gardening every week in a number of gardens I co-run.

How did you start with WordPress ?

I started with WP in 2006 when I was looking for a PHP based CMS that is open source and rather easy to use.

Why did you choose this conference topic ?

Maybe my story can inspire and help others who are having a hard time finding their place in this world. It has to do with mental health and your inner calling and leaving your comfort zone for the good.

What will learn with your conference ?

That it is ok to change and that it’s ok to listen to your inner self.
