I love the WordPress community
I like to get involved in the WordPress community, as it’s a pleasant way to give back to WordPress what WordPress allows me to accomplish with Virtuaza, and, in the future, with Interaction.Site and patriciabt.com.
I co-organise the WordPress meetups in Geneva since 2013, I have been part of the WordCamps organisation teams in Geneva in 2016 and Bern in 2017, and I have also been a speaker , a volunteer at WCEU 2017 among others or sponsor in other WordCamps.
I love community and human relations centered projects, and I like everything open-source which allows everyone to have their voices heard, I have these values in common with WordPress and its code of conduct.
With WordPress, I’m strong with integration, installation, plugin monitoring, migration or difficult restores, import from other CMS, and tinkering in the database. I’m less on design and develoment, so it’s important to be in synergy with the people I choose to work with.
Aside from WordPress, I’m also part of a Toastmasters club to learn and improve public speaking. I’m starting my second year and have a lot of fun attending the meetings. I would like to use public speaking skills to share some of my ideas and to contribute, along with many others, for a better world, especially against intolerance or about climate change.
My everyday life is punctuated by my family life and various activities with my children, as well as good neighborhood relations in my « nice little suburban town » that is Versoix.
And when I find a little free time, I love to watch « popularised-science » channels on YouTube or American TV series of « post-apocalyptic » type or in dystopian worlds, in contradiction with my happy, very positive character and an optimism on the edge of utopia.
